The Messenger
Bainbridge Performing Arts and our partners at Bainbridge Island Theater Lab (BitLab) bring you a staged reading of The Messenger, a new play in progress by Dinah Manoff and directed by Rachel Noll James.
A deeply moving and unapologetic piece of theatre, The Messenger is as much a political powder keg as it is an intimate portrait of two women trying to make sense of the world from two different ends of the conversational divide. Equally timely and empathetic, the play challenges audiences to consider whether real dialogue and shared understanding can bring us together.

Leza Danly’s “Soul Breadcrumbs”
Soul Breadcrumbs is an intimate, one‑woman odyssey of healing and hope, unfolding in the Cynthia Sears Studio at Bainbridge Performing Arts. After four decades away from the stage, master life coach Leza Danly weaves raw memoir, original songs, and wisdom to trace her path from childhood sparkle through heartbreak to the liberating discovery that “our souls remember who we are.” Guided by acclaimed solo‑show director Christine McHugh, Leza invites you to reclaim the lost pieces of your own story in a night of unflinching honesty, humor, and uplift. Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra Presents “Notes of Spring”

Fuselage by Annie Lareau
Actor and playwright Annie Lareau combines humor and compassion to reflect on her experience surrounding the Pan Am 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland. Meant to be on the flight with 35 Syracuse University classmates, she was left behind in London. Her narrative weaves the lives of young artists with the voices of Lockerbie locals who responded to the tragedy, set against the backdrop of prophetic nightmares and a terrorist plot. Through grief, media scrutiny, and self-punishment, Lareau’s journey becomes a poignant tribute to treasuring relationships in an unpredictable world.
