Unannounced Spring Musical
April 30 - May 23, 2027
*This musical is so newly available and so exciting that we're not even allowed to announce the title until January 2027! To give you a clue: it's the story of what happened when a singular moment stopped the world, leaving thousands of strangers stranded in an unlikely place, and the small community that opened its homes, its hearts, and ultimately its sense of belonging to them.
What unfolds is a remarkable true story of grief, generosity, resilience, and human connection. As people from different countries, cultures, and walks of life find themselves thrown together, they discover that compassion can transcend even the deepest divides. At its heart, this is a story about what becomes possible when we choose to see one another not as strangers, but as members of a shared human family. (Some mildly mature themes, recommended for ages 10 and up.)
In the Next Room
March 5-21, 2027
At the dawn of the electrical age, a group of women find themselves at the center of a medical revolution that promises to cure what society insists is wrong with them. As the women in this story begin to question the assumptions that shape their lives, they uncover unexpected truths about pleasure, intimacy, and their own autonomy.
Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl, In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) is a funny, provocative, and deeply insightful exploration of female desire, bodily autonomy, and the social constraints placed on women in Victorian America. By turns laugh-out-loud hilarious and surprisingly tender, it asks who gets to define our experiences, and what becomes possible when we begin defining them for ourselves. (Mature themes, recommended for older teens and adults.)
Shrek the Musical
November 27 - December 20, 2026
Fairy tale creatures have been banished, a princess is hiding a secret, and an ogre who has spent his life believing he doesn't belong is about to discover that happily ever after looks nothing like the stories promised. Based on the beloved DreamWorks film, Shrek The Musical is a hilarious and heartfelt celebration of self-acceptance, chosen family, and the courage to embrace who you truly are.
Filled with unforgettable characters, outrageous comedy, and a score that ranges from soaring Broadway ballads to laugh-out-loud showstoppers, this joyful musical invites us all to wave our freak flags high and discover that our differences are often the very things that make us worthy of love. (Family friendly, recommended for everyone!)
Fun Home
October 2-25, 2026
Based on Alison Bechdel's landmark graphic memoir, Fun Home is a Tony Award-winning musical about queer identity, family, and the courage to live authentically. As Alison comes of age and embraces her identity as a lesbian, she begins to recognize unexpected parallels between her own journey and the hidden life of her father, whose carefully constructed world conceals long-held secrets.
Told through a richly layered blend of memory, music, and storytelling, Fun Home is both a celebration of queer self-discovery and a deeply moving exploration of family relationships, love, loss, and understanding. Widely regarded as one of the most important musicals of the 21st century, it is funny, poignant, and profoundly human. (Some mature themes, recommended for teens and adults.)
William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”
August 8-23
Presented at Bloedel Reserve
Set in the curious, sun-drenched world of Illyria, a place where logic loosens its grip and desire refuses to stay in neat boxes, Twelfth Night unfolds as one of Shakespeare’s most exquisitely constructed comedies. At its heart is a story that explores gender constructs, the gap between who we are and how we are seen, and the porous boundaries between friendship, attraction, and love.
Great for teens and adults; family-friendly, with Shakespeare’s language made welcoming for devoted Shakespeare lovers and first-time audiences alike.
