Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra Presents: Demons & Destiny
October 30 - November 1, 2026
The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–2027 season with a program of electrifying Russian masterworks. Modest Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain conjures a world of shadow and spectacle, its vivid orchestral colors evoking both the magic and menace of the fall season. Pianist Mia Kim joins the orchestra for Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor—a work of sweeping lyricism and emotional depth that has captivated audiences for generations. The concert concludes with Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 in F minor. Composed in his youth at the threshold of a remarkable and turbulent career, this bold and imaginative work reveals a singular voice already brimming with wit, drama, and defiance.
