Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and courage demonstrated by Black communities throughout history. Through your artwork, we encourage you to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth and explore the theme of resilience in the context of this important aspect of Black history. This is an opportunity for young people to learn more about Juneteenth, engage with its significance, and express their artistic interpretations of resilience within this context.
