Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra held its annual auditions on September 9, 2018, but we continue to welcome new members throughout the year. Interested parties are encouraged to contact BSO Manager Larry Telles if they missed our annual auditions but would still like to audition to join the BSO.

Arranged auditions are by appointment only at Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA), 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. Those auditioning should prepare two contrasting solo works for the instrument of their choice that display the depth of their musical sensitivity and range of technical ability. Come prepared to play a total of five-eight minutes of music. Sight-reading for all instruments will be requested; music will be provided on site. Those interested in auditioning for principal positions will be asked to prepare excerpts in addition to their solo pieces.

The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra rehearses on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. at Bainbridge Performing Arts. See what’s ahead in the BSO’s enticing 2018 – 2019 four-concert season.

Music has always been at the heart of the BPA mission, and the organization’s commitment stands undiminished to this day. It has the backing of a well-organized Board and a thriving institution. It takes a lively community of volunteer musicians and listeners to make such a commitment sustainable, and BPA thanks the BSO musicians and audience members for their part in keeping the classical music program lively and growing. Please join us for the BSO’s 2018 - 2019 Season and celebrate the orchestra’s thriving contribution to the arts on Bainbridge Island.
