Ages 14-19: Teen Lab - E-Theatrical Devising

As theatre performances move online, students in this immersive, project-based course will put their heads together to create work that showcases the strengths of remote collaboration and performance rather than suffering from the associated limitations. Students will conceive, write, direct, perform, and broadcast their piece while building their storytelling skills and, crucially, their ability to set and meet their own goals.

Meetings will be Wednesdays, 6-9pm, and Sundays, 11am-2pm, and students will be expected to do an additional three hours of work between each session in assigned readings, journaling, and small group projects. The work is expected to be very enjoyable but rigorous. Because of this and the self-guided nature of some of the work, this class is recommended for advanced and/or committed students.
