Ages 12 - 19: Teen Lab - Acting for the Camera
This 6-week class, taught by Amanda Yeoman Brooke, welcomes all experience levels of actors ages 12-19. While all experience levels are welcome, please consider that this a professional acting intensive, geared towards teens interested in the framework of starting, or looking to further their current acting career. Ability to be dedicated and focused while still having fun is a must!
This class will cover the subtlety, vulnerability, and techniques that come with acting for the camera. We will explore the investigative approaches for different characters, and discuss the prospects for professional, on-camera acting in Seattle, and how commercial/corporate/TV/film auditions work.
Furthering this real world experience, we will work on scene studies that require original, multiple 2-3-page scenes, and we will be filming these as a takeaway from the class as material to begin, or add to your reel.
