Ages 12 - 19: Teen Lab - Introduction to Playwriting
What kinds of plays are there? Where do playwrights get ideas? How do stories become plays? Together we will explore these questions, among others, and write plays to discover the answers. Using various methods of inspiring creative stories, we’ll write scenes with dramatic tension, comedic characters, and compelling stories. By the end of our eight weeks, each writer will have a ten-minute play read by actors. How to talk about each other’s work in a respectful and supportive manner will be emphasized.
