2018 BSO Competition 1st Place Winner
Phoebe Rawn, a junior at Garfield High School in Seattle, began studying flute with Alicia Suarez, and currently studies with Zart Dombourian-Eby of the Seattle Symphony. She is a member of the Garfield Symphony Orchestra and the Seattle Youth Symphony, and also studies music academics at the Seattle Conservatory of Music. Phoebe has played on Classical KING FM as a finalist in the the KING FM Young Artist Awards and as a winner of the Seattle Flute Society’s Horsfall Competition. In addition, Phoebe has performed flute concertos with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Seattle. In January 2018, she will perform as a soloist with the Seattle Symphony, having been selected through their Young Artists Auditions. This past summer, Phoebe attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute as a member of their Young Artists Orchestra.
