Calling all Bainbridge and Kitsap Actors and Musicians
for BPA’s Bainbridge Pod Accomplice

Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) is now accepting submissions for our upcoming podcast series and would love to hear from you. Bainbridge Pod Accomplice will be a weekly program beginning in September that features audio plays, poetry, short stories, and music.

We will be casting six audio plays alongside other content. Each episode will include 4-10 remote Zoom or telephone rehearsals and an in-person safe and socially distanced recording session with the director at BPA. We take the safety and comfort of our collaborators and volunteer artists very seriously and have structured this series to be in compliance with Kitsap County’s existing Coronavirus Phase 2 guidelines.

Interested actors are requested to email Deirdre Hadlock at dhadlock@bainbridgeperformingarts.org with the subject line “Podcast Actor Submission,” and include 1) a short (30 second) voice sample recording of themselves reading a page from their favorite book or play. Phone recordings are absolutely fine. The quality doesn’t need to be anything high-tech or professional; we are just looking for an example of each participant’s voice.

We will consider all musical genres and welcome groups, solo artists, instrumentalists, and vocalists. We will select 1-3 songs per episode and will pair them thematically with the dramatic content.

We ask that each musical piece be 1) Written and played by you or recorded and shared with the artist’s permission (no covers please), 2) Submitted as a recording (no sheet music please), and 3) Made available for our broadcast free of charge. If selected, BPA will have the right to broadcast your recording across all platforms in perpetuity. You will retain ownership of the original content.

Interested musicians are requested to email Siobhán Maguire at smaguire@bainbridgeperformingarts.org with the subject line “Podcast Music Submission” and include 1) Band / Artist name, 2) Contact phone and email, Twitter @ or any other extra info you’d like to provide, 3) Your track in MP3 or MP4a format with your name as the file name. The recording does not have to be professional quality. We will consider good quality phone or similar audio recorded submissions.

We’re grateful to contributing actors and musicians, and we look forward to listening to and supporting our community of artists!
