"Star Play" from Dacha Theatre: July 29th @ 7pm

Star play is a play with music for young audiences, about constellations and hope and growing up. It is silly and warm and joyful, and runs just about an hour.

Dacha has loved bringing our touring shows to Bainbridge audiences (The Snow Queen, Twelfth Night Dice, Hamlet Dice)”

“Star Play” is a galaxy-sized epic adventure shrunk to be a sweetly witty bedtime story that connects the dots on all your favorite constellations (and a few you haven’t heard of)! This devised play with music careens after Pleione, the seventh brightest Pleiades sister, as she attempts to save the giant Betelgeuse from going supernova, and gains a new understanding of what change really means along the way.

Sparkling for audience members aged 1-100 light years, Star Play is visible from parks all over Seattle and the surrounding area.

Join us for our “Live on the Lawn” summer series of outdoor, socially-distanced performances. Don’t forget the sunscreen, a comfy lawn chair, and your mask if you’re still waiting for your chance to get vaccinated.

No tickets or reservations required, so be sure to arrive early to claim your socially-distanced patch of grass as space is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please bring a blanket or chairs; a limited number of folding chairs will be available for those who need special assistance. Events will take place outdoors on the grass and patio area directly in front of the entrance to BPA at 200 Madison Ave N.

Grab a bite to-go from one of Winslow’s fantastic restaurants or pack a picnic for a little outdoor dinner theatre - sorry, no alcohol permitted on site.

LIVE ON THE LAWN! is presented free of charge with the support of patrons like you.
