Contribute

What began with a handful of volunteers in 1956 flourishes still today. BPA has been entertaining Bainbridge Island and beyond for more than six decades, and we wouldn’t exist without the generous support of our friends, neighbors, community organizations, and local businesses.

Performance ticket sales recover approximately 27% of our costs, and we rely on you to help fill the gap. Your donations honor a broad community of artists and drive our creative efforts – Broadway-inspired productions, the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, original works, community collaborations, and an enriching Theatre School program.

Targeting your support to our Operating Fund helps us to “illuminate the lights,” while Frank Buxton’s Hot Dog! Fund aids with capital improvements, The Goodfellow Fund supports our classical music program, and the BSO Chair Society lends vital support to the BSO and our volunteer musicians through named sponsorships. Other opportunities include matching gifts, corporate sponsorships, in-kind donations, and attending BPA’s fundraisers throughout the year.

Individual Gifts

Ticket sales and other earned income cover just half of our operating expenses. This means we must raise the other 50% annually to deliver the kind of excellence on the stage and in our many programs for children, teachers, musicians, and aspiring and seasoned artists, that you -- and they -- have come to expect. Your membership is truly vital to our mission and financial well-being.

Matching Gifts

You can automatically double—or triple—the value of your contribution via your employer’s matching gift program. Your efforts will have a vibrant impact on the depth and breadth of our programming, plus, by matching your gift, you'll move to a higher giving level and enjoy additional benefits. Simply contact your Human Resources Department for a matching gift form (your spouse’s employer may also match your gift).

In-Kind Donations

We invite those involved in spring cleaning or office renovations to consider making an in-kind donation of material items to BPA. Items hidden in your attic or languishing on retail shelves may earn a new lease on life as part of a BPA production. Welcome items range from clothing to furniture to wall hangings to water-based paints, and much more.
