Stand-up Night LIVE! with Headliner Brad Upton
Saturday, January 20 @ 7:30 p.m.
At Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)
Break in the New Year with an evening of LIVE stand-up with host DAN ROSENBERG, special guest BRIDGET YOUNG, and headliner BRAD UPTON. Sharing the stage are band leader RAFFI MINASIAN and announcer JONATHAN HIBBS.
DAN ROSENBERG has been performing stand-up in clubs, theaters, and festivals for over two decades, appearing at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, as well as festivals in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Boston. He has hosted radio and TV shows in Orlando, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and he has shared the stage with many comedy legends, such as Kevin Nealon, Chris Rock, Richard Belzer, and the late Rodney Dangerfield. He is the author of “The Book On Hosting, How Not To Suck As An Emcee”.
BRIDGET YOUNG originally started performing a show called “Realtor Lady” using stories from her real estate career as a way to entertain her fellow agents. She has since written and performed numerous shows about motherhood called “Because I Said So”. Her new monologue “Wild Orphan Baby” is a humorous and heartfelt story about her childhood. Bridget has performed at The Admiral Theatre, Bainbridge Performing Arts, The Indianola Clubhouse, Suncadia Lodge, 12 Minutes Max at On The Boards, The Rendezvous, The Bainbridge Art Museum, and the Jewelbox Theatre.
BRAD UPTON first stepped on stage in September of 1984 and he’s never looked back. This ex-grade school teacher is now in his 32nd year of comedy and is nearing 6000 lifetime performances. He is a past winner of the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and appeared recently at Caesar’s Palace as part of the HBO Comedy Festival. He has spent the last eight years as the opening act for the legendary Johnny Mathis and did multiple shows all over the country with the late, great Joan Rivers. He has also been seen in concert with The Smothers Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Lewis Black, George Jones, Glen Campbell, Pam Tillis and many others. Coast to coast all over North America isn’t the only place Brad performs. In 2014 Brad headlined in Singapore, Hong Kong, The MGM in Macau and did eight nights in Israel as part of the Comedy for Koby benefit. His new CD entitled, “Brad Uptonogood” is heard regularly on Sirius Satellite Radio and is available online wherever music is sold. He also just released his first DVD entitled “Brad Upton, Live from the 509”. Learn more at www.bradupton.com.
