For more than two laughter-filled decades, The EDGE Improv has delivered ingeniously improvised first-Saturday evenings of on-the-spot comedy, all from audience suggestions. The troupe performs to sell-out crowds regularly at BPA where the troupe’s gambols and shenanigans have earned a devoted community of followers seeking respite from life’s wearisome routines and worries.
Troupe member Cynthia Lair says, “Only onstage with The EDGE is there an amusement park where you pay to sit in a hole, an elevator full of people taking a shower, and an exotic-dancing car repair shop. All totally believable.”
The EDGE troupe members include Ken Ballenger, John Ellis, Todd Erler, Cynthia Lair, Susan MacPherson, Bhama Roget, Andrew Shields, Chris Soldevilla, and Matty Whitman.
The EDGE Improv appears at BPA January 6, with shows First Saturdays all year at 7:30 p.m. Patrons are requested to arrive no later than 7:20 p.m. prior to each performance.
BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All. Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to offer an “Open Doors” program. Free and reduced-cost tickets to most events are available to community members in need through our partner Helpline House thanks to grants from BCF, the Mabee Family Foundation, and the Alder Fund at the Bainbridge Community Foundation. Please contact the BPA Box Office at 206.842.8569 or Helpline House to reserve tickets today.
