Join us in the BPA Gallery August 4 for an artist reception and an enjoyable evening of art and friends. Janice Harris is a Bainbridge Island watercolorist and weaver whose work reflects her journeys to spacious, usually-unpeopled places that offer respite from the often-compressed and too-often-anxious human world. Her abstract watercolors attempt to express a sense of rest, continuity, and reassurance to people yearning for a world that is larger and much older than themselves. “Breathing Room” remains on exhibit in the BPA Gallery throughout August and September, and viewers are welcome to drop by during the First Friday Art Walk on September 1.

The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday – Friday plus one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free, and information is available online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All. Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to offer an “Open Doors” program. Free and reduced-cost tickets to most events are available to community members in need through our partner Helpline House thanks to grants from BCF, the Mabee Family Foundation, and the Alder Fund at the Bainbridge Community Foundation.
