Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) is looking for an energetic, service-oriented Technical Director to oversee and operate all theatrical technical systems for Bainbridge Performing Arts. The Technical Director reports to BPA’s Executive Director and Production Manager, working closely with them to achieve the highest standards for our productions and maintain the mission and integrity of Bainbridge Performing Arts.

The successful candidate(s) will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre or a minimum of three years’ experience managing technical theatre elements, including set design and construction, lighting design, and sound design. Theatre project management, including the determination of ongoing design and production needs, meeting schedules and budgets, and inventory control is essential. The Technical Director (“TD”) will strengthen the stewardship-based culture of BPA and further its mission by working directly with volunteers and stipend-eligible designers, BPA staff, and other committees as required for projects designed to support the organization.

Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) is a non-profit community performing arts center whose team of theatre professionals works with volunteer cast members from Bainbridge, Kitsap, Seattle, and beyond to produce professional-quality, vigorously-supported, and enthusiastically-attended shows in our 245-seat facility. We produce six Mainstage shows a year, including a summer Shakespeare production at nearby Bloedel Reserve. BPA also houses The Edge Improv, Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, and BPA Theatre School for children, teenagers, and adults.
