BPA is calling all Superheroes - deadline April 6

Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)
is Calling all Superheroes!

In honor of the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra’s upcoming performance, Superheroes and Villains, Bainbridge Performing Arts is seeking the community’s help to identify the “perhaps not-so-caped crusaders” who are heroes right here in our hometown. Members of the public are invited to nominate individuals who they feel have made an impact in their neighborhood, and two winners will be awarded with a special prize at the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra’s concerts on April 14 and 15.

Participants are requested to send the following to BPA Executive Director Dominique Cantwell at dcantwell@bainbridgeperformingarts.org no later than April 6 at 5:00 p.m.: 1). Subject: Hometown Hero Nomination; 2) Name of nominee; 3) Reason for nomination (portions of this may be shared with the nominee and the audience); 4) One (or preferably two) ways to contact the nominee if they are a winner; 5) Your name and contact information; and 6) Whether or not you would like to remain anonymous if your nominee is selected.

Let’s elevate the heroes in our community. Help us celebrate the people who make this island so wonderful, and submit your nomination today!

Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) is a non-profit community performing arts center whose team of theatre professionals works with volunteer cast members from Bainbridge, Kitsap, Seattle, and beyond to produce professional-quality, vigorously-supported, and enthusiastically-attended shows in our 245-seat facility. We produce six Mainstage shows a year, including a summer Shakespeare production at nearby Bloedel Reserve. BPA also houses The Edge Improv, Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, and BPA Theatre School, which has a longstanding tradition of supporting learners of all ages to build the skills and confidence to perform on stage and in everyday life.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation, the City of Bainbridge Island, and One Call for All.
