BPA Chamber Music Series ~ Inspired by Poetry & Song

At Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)

The concluding program in BPA’s 2012-2013 Chamber Music series glorifies the literary art forms that move composers to their own personal vision and interpretation of the written word. The program includes works by Robert Schumann, Bohuslav Martinu, Paul de Wailly, Allen Strange, Erik Satie, and Antonín Dvořák.

Featured performers include Patricia Beasley (clarinet), Samuel Brodsky (piano), Suzanne Burton (flute), Barbara Deppe (‘cello), Shelly Devlin (trumpet), Amy Duerr-Day (oboe), Jonathan Graber (violin/viola), James Quitslund (piano), Adam Schwend (baritone), Karen Sorenson (violin), Paige Stockley ('cello), and Patricia Strange (violin). Patricia Beasley and Amy Duerr-Day moderated the 2012 – 2013 series, which showcased talented artists of all ages in an accessible and inviting format.

“Inspired by Poetry & Song” appears at BPA on Sunday, June 9 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets, $16 for adults, and $12 for seniors, students, youth, military, and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. BPA Box Office hours are 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.
