Join The EDGE for an ingeniously improvised evening of on-the-spot comedy, all from audience suggestions. For two laughter-filled decades, the troupe’s riotous antics have inspired rave reviews from audience members and hilarious commentary from the troupe members themselves.
“The Edge is like therapy, but cheaper.” - Ken Ballenger, troupe member
"Half of what I have learned from improv is exactly two times the third of what I've forgotten….you figure it out." - Matty Whitman, troupe member
“If you're up for some surprises then THE EDGE is your cup of tea. Or coffee. Or bottled spring water.” - Terence Wheer, author, actor and all-around good fellow
“The Edge Improv is milk-through-the-nose funny. Really, I'm laughing right now.” – Rebecca Farwell, audience member
"We're visiting from California where we have nothing like this. Well, actually we have plenty like this. But not like this. I like this." - Dr. and Mrs. Lionel Pendelman
“The name of our group came from a discussion about improvisational performing. I started to ‘get it’ after a horrible scene where we stood on the edge of a volcano and talked about jumping. I later realized that a scene doesn’t really start until you jump. The fun, the craziness, the oddities all happen during freefall. To me, good improv is fun in freefall.” – Ken Ballenger
Now available on vimeo on demand: "The EDGE at the MOVIES" is an 89-minute documentary produced by Liz Ellis and Matt Longmire featuring some of the more memorable scenes and moments from 2014 as well as interviews with The EDGE players about the group's 20-year history together. The film premiered at the Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival on November 14, 2014 to a sold out audience at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Visit www.edgeatthemovies.com.
