In this short class, students will learn all about long-form structure (including when to break the rules,) start to understand subtext, practice writing dialogue, and come away with the skills and tools to write their first play. This class is also good for aspiring authors or screenwriters, though we will be working in stageplay format.

Pickup and dropoff will occur in the BPA lobby. Parents are expected to personally sign their child in on the first day and must be visible from the front door or have signed a release for the over-12 child to walk or bike home in order for their child to sign themself out thereafter.

This is a short-run class. It is followed by Helen Heaslip’s Dancing in Character, which runs at the same time October 24 - November 28.
