THE KENTUCKY CYCLE OUTREACH
Thanks to a grant from Humanities Washington, whose mission it is to spark conversation and critical thinking using story as a catalyst, we have prepared a High School Classroom Outreach program that kicks off a month of events related to The Kentucky Cycle. This effort will culminate in three weekends of performances of the epic play March 12 - 30, 2014 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Reserve your spot now to have actors from our upcoming production of The Kentucky Cycle visit your classroom, to perform scenes from the show that focus on myth building and revisionism in history (themes selected by Ralph Cheadle, retired Bainbridge High School American Studies teacher). Among the cast members are teaching artists who will lead your class in acting exercises, discussions about character preparation and will give your class the perfect launching pad to continue discussion on the themes from the show using the study guide provided.
