Get out your dancing shoes, this is going to be a toe-tapping Latin spectacular! The BSO will perform some of the best Latin classical music of all time. Enjoy works from Spain, Mexico, Chile and more. Appearing in her Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra debut is violinist Emma McGrath performing Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole. McGrath, associate concertmaster of the Seattle Symphony, has been in demand as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the Pacific Northwest making headlines with her beautiful tone and inspiring interpretations. "Pura vida" is an expression from Costa Rica that literally means “pure life.” In this spirit we are pleased to perform these jewels of Latin classical music.
Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra extends heartfelt gratitude to the Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra for the use of 55 new musician chairs acquired through their receipt of a generous grant from the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island.
