BPA AUDITIONS September 20 & 21
for [title of show]
Tuesday & Wednesday @ 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
at Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)

Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to announce AUDITIONS for [title of show], September 20 & 21 at BPA. Director Philip Lacey and Musical Director Joel Kurzynski make their BPA debut with this thoroughly unique and comical postmodern homage to the grand tradition of backstage musicals.

Run dates are February 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19, with a Pay-What-You-Can Preview February 9. Rehearsals extend mid-December through February 9 – Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. plus Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Roles are available for two men and two women in their early-20s to mid-30s: Hunter, a book writer; Jeff, a composer/lyricist; Susan, their actor friend; and Heidi, their actor friend.

Don’t miss the opportunity to play a role in BPA’s 2016 – 2017 60th Anniversary Season! BPA AUDITIONS for [title of show] are September 20 and 21, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Those auditioning are requested to prepare a one-two minute monologue and 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre piece. An accompanist will be provided but those auditioning must bring sheet music – clearly marked and in a three-ring binder. Please - no outside accompanists or acapella singing. 

Those auditioning are encouraged to pick material that particularly showcases their personality, as well as their abilities. All roles are open to audition. Auditions are by appointment only, and interested parties are requested to email dhadlock@bainbridgeperformingarts.org to schedule an audition.

BPA’s team of theatre professionals work with volunteer cast members from Bainbridge, Kitsap, Seattle, and beyond to produce professional-quality, vigorously-supported, and enthusiastically-attended shows in our 245-seat facility on Bainbridge Island. Bainbridge is a beautiful 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle and the theater is a short walk from the dock. We do provide walk-on ferry passes for our Seattle cast members for all rehearsals and performances.

[title of show] is the February Mainstage production in our 60th Anniversary Season. BPA produces six Mainstage shows a year, including a summer Shakespeare production at nearby Bloedel Reserve. BPA also houses The Edge Improv, Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, and BPA Theatre School.
