BPA Announces Auditions for ANOTHER LETTER TO FATHER CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY SING-ALONG
October 1: Tuesday @ 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Bainbridge Performing Arts is excited to announce audition dates for ANOTHER LETTER TO FATHER CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY SING-ALONG, written and directed by Barbara Deering, and running December 8, 15 and 22. Auditions are Thursday, October 1 at BPA.

Toast the full spirit of the season with this enchanting tale by Barbara Deering and a festive holiday sing along with your neighbors and friends. It's fun for the whole family.

BPA is seeking actors for Father Christmas - a singer, more wizard than jolly and kind but stern; Elves 1, 2 and 3 - adults who are comfortable singing parts confidently and with volume and adept at physical comedy (pratfalls, etc); a Tall Elf - tenor, strong singer and tall; and Occasional Elves - children (ages 7 and up). Elves will have choreographed moves and will sing and they should be able to learn lyrics to many seasonal songs. Players of all roles must be comfortable with improv and be willing to interact with the audience during the sing-along portions of the show. Actors who are fluent in American Sign Language are especially encouraged to audition.

Auditions are by appointment only, and interested parties are requested to email dhadlock@bainbridgeperformingarts.org to make an appointment. The rehearsal period will begin October 5 – November 30; Saturdays at 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. and Mondays at 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Dress rehearsal is December 5 at 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Run dates are December 8, 15 and 22, 2013, Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Those auditioning are requested to prepare a one minute comedic monologue and an acapella holiday song. There will not be an accompanist available. Those auditioning should be prepared to do some improv with the director during their audition. Participants are requested to bring a headshot or a current picture to the audition.
