BPA Theatre School is NOW registering spring session!
Leap into spring with the magic of live theatre…at BPA Theatre School. Spring registration is NOW underway for classes beginning April 14 for Pre-K through adult students. Plus, our exciting Spring Break Camp offers a fun-filled week (March 31 – April 4) of skill development for beginners and veterans with Director of Education Josh Anderson. BPA Theatre School has a long history of providing quality performing arts education with experienced teaching artists and staff.
In our spring Theatre School session, we’re delighted to offer Beginning Broadway: Song & Poetry for Grades K – 1 and Jason and the Argonauts for Grades 2 – 4, both led by Emily Kight. The spring line-up includes Imagination Station for Ages 4 – 6 and Creative Drama for Grades 1 - 2. Michelle Abad leads Group Voice I for Grades 3 – 8 and Odin's Undoing: The Norse Edda for Grades 5 – 8. Tom Challinor shepherds students in the Teen Shakes class through a multi-media version of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Group Voice II for Grades 8 – 12 is an advanced voice class that works on ensemble and solo singing using both modern music and Broadway classics. Grades 6 – 10 will enjoy Acting Basics in a course exploring the basic terminology and technique of acting, including an introduction to Stanislavksi, Mesiner, and Bogart. Adults may select from Adult Musical Theater (for ages 45 – 105)under the guidance of Josh Anderson and Barbara Deering, or the Shakespeare Appreciation Class or the Adult Acting Shakespeare Workshop, both with Tom Challinor.
Every student has his or her own goals, dreams, and talents. Offering year-round classes, BPA’s education programs nurture these goals by building on student strengths, teaching new skills, and providing a positive, safe environment where students of all ages and all levels can explore and grow, all while having fun! The group atmosphere of BPA’s Theatre School classes and productions builds respect, teamwork, and responsibility – qualities leading to self-confidence, self-awareness, and character building that will last students a lifetime!
