BPA Gallery First Friday Art Walk May 6 features abstract seascapes by Kelly Johnston

BPA Gallery First Friday Art Walk May 6: “Wavelengths”
Water Soluble Oil on Canvas by Kelly Johnston
First Friday Art Walk: May 6 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Exhibit continues throughout May at Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)

Join us in the BPA Gallery May 6 for an artist reception, a fun evening of art, food, and friends. The waters surrounding Bainbridge Island and the San Juans provide endless inspiration for Kelly Johnston’s abstract seascapes. Bold brushstrokes and loosely dripping paint combine to capture the interaction of sunlight on the water’s surface. Working with water soluble oils, Johnston uses swirls of color, fluid patterns and atmospheric depth to evoke sunlight and waves at sea.
