Mark your calendars for the first annual fun-filled summer fundraiser for Bainbridge Performing Arts’ (BPA) Theater School with Families on The EDGE! on July 8. BPA invites one and all, young and old, to spend a summer evening, enjoying food, family-friendly Improv comedy, a fantastic raffle and a small auction - all to benefit BPA Theatre School.
Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. on the lawn in front of Bainbridge Performing Arts with a picnic barbecue catered by Mike’s Four Star BBQ. Then starting at 6:15 p.m., The EDGE dishes out on-the-spot comedy on stage in an improvised evening of hilarity and song suitable for kids and adults alike. During intermission while the kids head outside to eat ice cream treats and enjoy a little musical entertainment, the adults in the audience will have a chance to win some fantastic family-friendly prizes in a raffle and to bid on items in a short live auction. Items include a family picnic with Elizabeth Mitchell (of “Lost” and “The Santa Clause II and III”) and her husband, Chris Soldevilla, The Edge’s newest member; lunch and a show at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle with BPA Director Steven Fogell; a slumber party for up to ten at BPA; tickets to Teatro Zinzanni; a Seattle Aquarium Tide Pool experience for up to 32; birthday party entertainment with Guy Sidora; and two season passes to the EDGE Improv. After the auction the kids will rejoin the audience and it’s on with the rest of the show!
This special fundraising event is presented by D.A. Davidson & Co., Cook Family Funeral Home and Prudential Northwest Real Estate. The performance has one intermission and is suitable for all audiences. Visit The EDGE on line at www.theedgeimprov.com.
