DAILY SCHEDULE

9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - What do those actors portraying Captain Jack Sparrow, Aragorn, Darth Vader and Laura Croft have in common? They’ve all learned the art of live action stunts. Spend the mornings learning the basics in safe stage combat and live action stunts. Add hits, slaps, falls, rolls, taking a bullet, hand-to-hand combat, and sword-wielding to your actor’s toolkit. This is THE class for the student interested in acting, theater, and film.

12:00 – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch break

12:30 – 3:00 p.m. – A jam-packed afternoon for actors curious about the specific demands and intimate nature of acting for film and television. We’ll explore the difference between theater and film acting, and students will be guided toward the naturalistic style necessary for the camera. Participants will learn how to adjust their performance for different types of camera shots, e.g., wide, medium, and close-up. Students’ final work will be filmed and they will receive a DVD within two weeks after the culmination of the class.
